Botox is typically used to prevent muscles while filler helps to treat deep wrinkles or volume loss. With finishing results, you can expect Botox to last from 3-8 months while filler is much longer with a lasting result of up to two years.
Okay, so let’s dive in deeper – what exactly ARE Botox and Filler injections?
Botox®, or botulinum toxin type A (Botox Cosmetic), is a Health Canada approved protein that has been used safely in medical and cosmetic applications for over twenty years. Axillary hyperhidrosis may be improved for up to 12 months.
Fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide present in the human body that binds water and hydrates the skin and soft tissues. No allergy testing is required. These fillers may be injected into the skin or subcutaneously, resulting in greater fullness, volume correction, and improvement of facial wrinkles and folds. Restoring volume loss reduces the signs of aging and helps you look fresher and more youthful. Filler products feature different gel particle sizes that are utilized for different purposes – from eliminating tiny lines to enhancing facial contours.
